Adele is everywhere these past 2 weeks. With the release of her much anticipated new album ’25’ the singer has been heavily promoting her new music, filming appearances on late night talk shows and even Saturday Night Live. But even though she seems to be working non-stop, Adele reveals that there’s one person who is always with her no matter how busy she is, and that’s her 3 year old son Angelo.
Adele was on the Today Show and spoke to Matt Lauer about how she was more prepared to deal with the fame and excitement surrounding the release of her new album and credited it to being a mother now, saying “I’ve got a kid which is a very grounding thing, as I’m sure any parent will know.”
In addition to being a grounding source for his mom, Adele spoke about how Angelo is her number one priority and will remain that way, which is one of the reasons why she was out of the spotlight for so long.
“My son comes everywhere with me. We’re all good,” she said. “He’s the first person I see in the morning, and the last person I see at night, and vice versa…I make time for him like I always have.”
“That’s one of the main reasons that I’ve been away for so long,” she went on. “Because I was like no, my kid is more important. My kid comes first, and my music comes second—and I come second.”
It’s nice to see an artist as popular as Adele not just say that her child is her number one priority but actually stop working and step away from the lime light and actually dedicate time to her child. There’s not a lot of celebrities who would take time off in the prime of their career and make their child a priority. What a lovely mother/son bond these two must have!
