The first time we gave our daughter a bath, she screamed the entire time. We panicked. What were we doing wrong, we thought? We had the little sling thing, the tiny tub, the right cleansing clothes. Every rhyme or alliteration imaginable. What?? Come to find out, we’re horrible parents. In an effort to not burn her, we ended up freezing her. The water was clearly too cold. Hindsight. Funny thing. Not so funny to her, apparently.
We have since chilled out, so to speak, on the water temp. We’ve actually introduced hot water. She’s tough. She can take it. But with that nightmare first in the back of my head and new issues (like her indecision about whether she has to pee mid-bath or her incessant “I want to get out because I’m done swimming to the island” pleas), making bath time as quick as possible has always been my goal.
One suds-up and that’s all we want. In and out, unless of course she has to swim to two islands that evening. Here are a few two-in-one products that make that happen:
California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo and Body Wash: No fragrance, no tear, no chemicals, yes perfect.
Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo: Lather up this natural oat extract blend on hair and skin, or find out its third use…a great long-lasting bubble bath.
Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Bubble Bath : A bubble bath that doubles as a cleansing soap. So now I just plunk her into the bubbles and they do the work for me.
Thymes Sweetleaf Baby Wash & Shampoo: Bonus use – the chamomile and lavender blend adds comforting aromatherapy for cranky kids.
Fragrance Free Baby Balm by Balm Balm: 100% certified organic blend of natural oils and waxes for everything you can imagine aprés bathtime – chapped cheeks or lips, moisturize dry skin, diaper rash or cradle cap.
