Bethany Hamilton Talks Motherhood And Changing Diapers With Only One Arm

If you thought changing the diaper of a squirmy 7 month old was tough, you should try doing it with only one arm! Pro surfer Bethany Hamilton made headlines when she lost her arm to a shark attack when she was only 13 years old, but she’s never let that stop her from doing all the things she loves. In fact, Bethany told The Daily Mail that she can’t wait to tell her son Tobias about her accident when he’s old enough.

‘I’m so excited to tell my son about my accident, as he will see how I’m not your typical mom,’ says Bethany.

‘As soon as he’s old enough, I’m going to explain how I ended up with one arm, but then tell him life got even better because of what happened to me.

‘I want to show him a shark might have bitten off my arm, but that doesn’t stop you in life, it just makes you even more determined and stronger.”

No accomplishments or adventures can outdo you my little love. Love #momlife 💕 @blendamontorophotography
