Can I get rid of cellulite by exercising?

Can I rid cellulite by exercise? Diet and fitness trends come and go, but the fight against cellulite is ages-old. So what causes cellulite? It occurs when there’s an increase in the size of fat cells: as the amount of fat increases, it bulges from the individual cell compartment, giving skin a dimpled appearance. Whether you’ll develop cellulite depends on several factors, including amount and distribution of body fat, the strength of connective fibers, and the thickness of your skin. If you’ve developed cellulite, the good news is that you can reduce cellulite’s appearance with a sensible diet, along with a well-rounded regular routine of physical activity which includes both cardio exercise and resistance training.
Best of all, if you want to get rid of cellulite, it doesn’t require round-the-clock workouts or starvation. In a research study published in the book No More Cellulite: A Proven 8-Week Program for a Firmer, Fitter Body, researchers studied women who followed basic nutritional guidelines and completed 40-minute workout sessions (consisting of 20 minutes of cardiovascular exercise and 20 minutes of strength training exercises) three days per week for eight weeks. They found that, on average, the women experienced considerable improvement in their bodies, dropping 9.1 pounds of fat and replacing 1.2 pounds of muscle. In addition, all of the women in the study also reported less cellulite, with 70 percent reporting significantly less cellulite and improved physical appearance.
