Celebrity Moms Minnie Driver, Brooke Burke JÄM & Support Phase One in Malibu. Famous faces are often spotted at the Malibu Lumber Yard but on Sunday, August 19, celebrity Moms, Minnie Driver and Brooke Burke turned out to support their dance teacher Neda Soderqvist (Coach Neda), creator of Juicy Athletic Moves (JÄM) and 50 of her dedicated students to raise money and awareness for PHASE ONE Foundation. Minnie was such a great sport, taking pictures with all the sponsors and event producers and even braved the heat to shake her money maker! Both Brooke and Minnie donned Lorna Jane tees to show their support of the event as did all the ladies in attendance! These dancers, including quite a few men, braved the heat and intense sun to sweat it out and shake it with Neda through her hip-hop, Bollywood and salsa dance routines all in the name of healthy fun! There was even a special performance by former Scarlett and Black frontman Robin Hild, also a JÄM student, who sang a song he wrote just for Coach Neda.
The event, produced by MomAngeles (an online resource for busy LA Moms offering scoop on events, classes, resources, services, and more), raised several thousand dollars for PHASE ONE Foundation, a non-profit organization funding clinical cancer trials and innovative treatment programs throughout Southern California. This research offers cancer patients hope for a full and productive life. For more information on PHASE ONE, visit them online at www.phaseonefoundation.org. One of the funniest moments was when the Banana Man from Jamba Juice joined the stage to do the “Jamba Samba.” He really rocked it!
