Christina Aguilera knows what’s up! The Grammy award winning singer and sometime ‘The Voice’ coach is also a mother of two, so she knows about how the demands of motherhood can affect a woman.
I an interview with Women’s Health the ‘Dirrty’ singer calls out the unrealistic expectations that are often put on women once they become moms.
“Mothers are constantly expected to be the nurturers, the givers, the providers of a comfortable home,” she told WH. “We’re expected to be pregnant, have the kids, breastfeed once we have the babies. And we’re expected to look amazing after baby, right?”
A huge thanks to my “glam fam” @KristoferBuckle & @DavidBabaii for adding your personal magic to such a beautiful day & shoot I will cherish forever. @BrianBowenSmith – I couldn’t appreciate you & your team more for bringing to life such an epic shoot. And even when we saw we don’t care, we still click on the pictures to see what they look like and constantly compare ourselves to them. Christina doesn’t just speak the truth about expectations that woman have about their bodies post baby, but also expectations with regards to our significant others that most women can relate to as well.
