Prepare yourself to fall in love with Dwaye ‘The Rock’ Johnson! The wrester turned actor and movie star appeared on this weekend’s Oprah’s Master Class and spoke openly aboutbecoming a father and how he felt when he first held his now 14 year old daughter, Simone, in his hands.

“I realized being a father is the greatest job I have ever had and the greatest job I will ever have,” the actor says. “I always wanted to be a great dad. I always wanted to give Simone things that I felt I never got.”

When Simone was born he said he held her in his two hands and “I said to her, ‘I will always, always take care of you, for the rest of your life. You are safe.’ ” He said “I always wanted to be a great dad. I always wanted to give Simone things that I felt I never got.”

He goes on to open up about how he wanted to parent his teenage daughter saying “Throughout the years, throughout the ups and downs, I’ve realized that the most important thing that I could do with my daughter is lead our life with love,” he says. “Not success, not fame, not anything else but, ‘I’m always here for you. I love you.’ ”

He then goes on to get choked up when he recalls asking Simone what she thought was the most special part of their relationship and she replied that it was that she trusted him. Dwayne says “And for a 13-year-old girl to say that to her dad, considering where I was at 13, the instability I had. She said, ‘Well, that I trust you and that we have a very special bond,’ that moved me. And so, you know, at 13, she’s saying that and I couldn’t ask for anything else.”

Dwayne recently revealed that he and his longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashien are expecting their first child together, a little sister for Simone. Watch Dwayne speak so beautifully about his daughter in this clip from Oprah’s Master Class below.
