The holidays are most definitely my favorite time of year. I can eat, drink and be merry all I want and then hide my excess weight under my winter coats because hey baby, it’s cold outside! But all kidding aside, the holidays truly are a wonderful season because you get to spend your free time with your loved ones while getting to appreciate all the smaller things in life. And of course that includes the good food on the table, too.But the one thing that sucks though is feeling like you have a 10-pound turkey lodged somewhere in your insides so much so that you have to unzip at the dinner table. Because my metabolism isn’t what it used to be (damn you, mid-30s) sometimes I really feel like I am carrying a fourth-trimester food baby.
