Here’s what Sweden is getting right when it comes to parenting.
While there’s no doubt that many of us feel fortunate to be living in one of the greatest countries in the world, there’s no denying that there are some things that can certainly be changed when it comes to the way parents are treated. Unlike many other Westernized country, we don’t have paid maternity leave, deal with outrageous child care costs and make it difficult for parents to work and provide for their families, while giving them the quality time off from work they need in order to be with their children.
In other words, we still have a long way to go and a lot to learn.
That’s why many parents are looking to countries like Sweden and other parts of Scandinavia to see exactly what they are doing that seems to be working so much better for them than for us. While no country is perfect, there are some things we can learn from other countries and hopefully adapt into our own systems. After all, children from Sweden are one of the happiest in the world and here’s why.
Americans can learn a lot when it comes to Sweden and their parenting methods.
