Keeping stretch marks in check.
Here’s something I’m sure we can all agree on: stretch marks suck. Whether they are on your thighs, your belly or your hips, they are best described as streaks or stripes on the skin, especially on the abdomen, caused by distension of the skin from obesity or during pregnancy. While some mamas like to call them their “tiger stripes,” others hate how discolored they look, as most have a slight ridge or indentation. They’re harmless and sometimes they go away, but even mamas with the best bodies can get them, thanks to a family history of stretch marks or a by also having a history of delivering large babies and twins.
If I would have known this stuff earlier, I would have taken these preventive steps in making sure they didn’t appear on my breasts, thighs and – regretfully – tush.
