Small acts of kindness make a big difference
Teaching kids how to be patient and waiting your turn is a huge challenge. But for a child with autism, often a few minutes can seem like a lifetime.
Stephanie Skaggs took her 5-year-old daughter, Baylee, to the water park for summer fun. Baylee is autistic, and mostly non-verbal.
Skaggs had been working with her daughter on practicing how to wait in line for her turn, and she was doing well for the most part.
A mom of a non-verbal autistic girl takes to Facebook to share a story of a mom who was teaching her kids right and it had a great impact.
