A simple dental procedure took a tragic turn

Daisy Lynn Torres only had her baby teeth in when her mom, Betty Squier, took her to Austin Children’s Dentistry to fill two cavities.
But a simple dental visit took a tragic turn.

Dr. Michael Melanson, a pediatric specialist, told Squier that 14-month-old Daisy needed to be put under anesthesia in order to do the cavity fillings.
