Experts say we “are fighting a losing battle” in the fight against cancer.

The rate of new cases of cancer in children has risen 40 percent in the last 16 years, according to researchers from the charity Children with Cancer UK.

Medical professionals claim we are facing a cancer “epidemic”, with a horrifying 40% rise in children’s cancer being blamed on our modern lifestyles.

We can blame the rise of new cases of childhood cancer on our modern lifestyle in many cases, said Alasdair Philips, the science advisor at Children with Cancer UK.
