Chrissy Teigen reveals that she and husband John Legend chose to implant only female embryos during IVF.

Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend revealed that she was expecting a baby back in October and in December they revealed to the world that they would be having a girl. The model and co-host of ‘Lip Sync Battle’ has been very open about her battle with infertility, even revealing that she had to give herself shots while shooting her recent Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Chrissy has found herself defending many of her choices as a pregnant woman, from things as trivial as what kind of cereal she likes to eat to now defending her decision to only implant a female embryo while undergoing IVF.

While promoting her new cookbook ‘Cravings’, Chrissy explained to PEOPLE that she and John decided to have a daughter during IVF treatments saying, “I’ve made this decision. Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.’ ”
