Now that summer is officially here, I’m sure your kids have been begging you to take them to the local pool to meet up with friends and cool off. Community pools are a great way for your kids to meet new friends and enjoy being outside in the hot summer months, but they also come with their share of hidden hazards.
While most parents constantly slather their kids in suntan lotion to prevent sunburns and monitor their kids while they’re in the pool to make sure they’re always safe, there are a few other risks kids are at when they use a public pool, namely skin rashes and infections.
Public pools are a great place for your kids to cool off in the summer, just be aware of these skin infections your kids can pick up.
