Could You Give Up Pads And Tampons For These 4 Eco-Friendly Alternatives?

I don’t like to talk about that time of the month as it is (because it downright sucks), but it looks like us ladies are causing some serious problems when it comes to the tampons and pads we use on a monthly basis. There’s a new report that says the average woman menstruates for about 2,470 days in her lifetime -- which is the equivalent to seven straight years. In other words, we’re contributing to about 20 billion tampons and pads that end up in landfills every year. Yikes! If you think I’m kidding, there’s even a menstrual waste calculator that will make you feel even worse about all those applicators and wrappings you’ve tossed in the garbage. Now, I’m not saying we should stop using tampons and pads (because in our very on-the-go lives that’s almost impossible), but there are other alternatives to help save our planet from such waste. Are you up to trying these eco-friendly options?[ad type="aboveimagead1"]
