Father Explains Why His Daughters Will Never Attend Sleepovers With Their Friends

Back in the mid-80’s, I attended plenty of slumber parties and hosted quite a few on my own (even though they were a lot of fun, I’m sure they were also A LOT of work for my mom).  My parents always made an effort to get to know the parents of my friends (they would never allow me to visit someone’s home if they did not know who the parents were) and all in all, they were special memories I had of my childhood. It gave me the opportunity to taste a little bit of freedom while still in a controlled environment. And like another parent once told me – it’s not like you would want your child to attend their first sleepover in college! Yet, one father and blogger is making waves by explaining why he would never allow his young daughter to attend a sleepover at someone’s house. While I can agree with some of his points here, I don’t totally agree on his outlook here, too. See what he has to say.
