It's about time...

Mamas, our voices have finally been heard!

It’s been years since the last time I breastfed my children, but when I did, let me tell you it was no walk in the park, especially while I was out and about during feeding times. And because I’m not the kind of person who could easily whip out a boob and feed my child at a Starbucks while sipping on my Caramel Macchiato, I would oftentimes feed my baby in the backseat of my minivan before making my way inside a store or restaurant. Heck, I even breastfed my baby in a bathroom during a visit to the zoo simply because I didn’t have a comfortable, quiet and private place to breastfeed my very hungry baby!

Thankfully, lawmakers have realized that something needs to be done and that women shouldn’t be shamed or made to feel uncomfortable whenever they are breastfeeding their children in public. That’s why mamas are rejoicing over this great new bill that has been passed this week!

Mandatory breastfeeding stations are now required at city centers in the Big Apple.

Breastfeeding mamas finally have a place they can call their own!
