Critics say image matters more than content.

Gap Kids is under fire for an ad many people are saying is downright racist.

The brand’s Ellen DeGeneres kids’ clothing line released its newest campaign last Friday with a picture featuring four members of an all-kid circus troupe.

Controversially, a white troupe member is leaning on her black peer’s head – with critics firing back that the ad is racially charged.

In fact, many are claiming the photo—depicting four girls—uses the lone black model as a passive prop, while the other models appear active.
