While I like to consider myself an ‘organic’ mom (meaning there’s a good chance I’ll reach out for the organic kids’ snacks before putting a bag of Cheetos in my Target cart), I haven’t really followed the organic bible as much as some other parents out there. I mean, don’t get me wrong, as I pay particular attention to what my kids eat and put on their bodies, but I’ve also slacked off my allowing them the occasional fast food meal and watch a little too much television when I have my hands full at home. At the end of the day, it’s all about moderation and trying to follow your own personalized set of priorities, right?
That’s why British parents Adele and Matt Allen are stirring a lot of controversy this week as they’ve been promoting their ‘Off-Grid Parenting’ lifestyle. They have an all natural parenting style, which includes no modern medicine, homeschooling their two children and encouraging full-time breastfeeding.
And the response they’ve received has definitely been one mixed bag of supporters and critics who have a lot to say on the topic!
