Bad cop, good cop
When it comes to disciplining our children at home, I am the first person to admit that I end up doing most of the scolding, the yelling, the arguing, the taking away the tablet time, and so on. In other words, I’m the bad cop while my husband is the good cop in our home. When mommy takes the iPads away, the first thing they do is go to their father to protest.
I mean, we’ve been doing this for so long that at this point we’re all kind of used to our roles but of course, it doesn’t have to be this way. In fact, there’s a new report that says mothers are far more likely to discipline their children than fathers are. Yet, there are several different methods you can follow to help prevent this from continuing while also getting dad to step up to the plate.
