When I was a kid I remember going with my mom to our local strawberry patch to pick fresh, juicy strawberries. It was the greatest time of year because that was basically the only few weeks when strawberries were in season and the only time we could get the berries.

Fast forward a few decades and you can now buy strawberries year-round at the grocery store. That’s great if your kids love strawberries, but unfortunately these berries are coming with a price.
