When my boys were babies, I would spend time in the kitchen making homemade baby food. Their favorite flavors? Mashed or pureed sweet potato, butternut squash, and of course, banana. When they were about 10 months old, they enjoyed finger foods like 0-shaped cereal, and baby rice “puffs”. They’d love to gnaw at arrowroot cookies especially when they were teething.Walking through a baby/toddler aisle, you’ll notice the various foods specifically marketed towards the little ones. A new study shows that ads for baby and toddler foods often go against the nutritional advice of health experts.
