Kids and too much tech
When it comes to desktops, laptops, smart phones, iPads, televisions and tablets, I’ll be the first one to admit that yes, technology can easily make us frustrated, lazy slobs who get easily angered when something isn’t working right (like whenever the WiFi stops working or when your iPhone’s battery dies when you still have several hours of work to go!). And while a lot of parents probably don’t want to admit this, I’ve seen plenty of children who also get easily angered and throw quite the tantrums when you pull a tablet away from them.
And as much as we try to limit our screen time in my own home, I’ll say that it isn’t always easy. But whenever the internet does go out or my batteries die when I’m without a charger, I end up having the best days. Yet, one couple is getting a lot of criticism this week for openly admitting that their child is addicted to technology. Even though there are plenty of kids who suffer from the same addiction, many critics are blasting these parents by calling them lazy and putting their parenting skills into question.
Their two-year-old is inseparable from his iPad.
