To my husband’s (and every boyfriend that came before him) horror, I have been wearing UGGs for about 15 years now. Despite the fact that they may not be the most attractive boot on the market, with their fuzzy interior, soft suede exterior and somewhat cushy sole, they are so darn comfortable it’s like wearing bedroom slippers all the time.
When I first realized that Birkenstocks were back in style a few years back, I knew it was only a matter of time before Tevas would make a resurgence, as they were also oh-so-hot back in the 1990s. I made a vow to myself, as well as my husband, that I wouldn’t engage in either trend. While Birks are not-so-bad in my book, Tevas are truly a style sin and only belong on the feet of river hikers and maybe kids, but unfortunately they are popping up on city streets everywhere.
Well, things are getting a whole lot uglier, because Teva has collaborated with UGG and released a sandal being hailed by many as “the world’s ugliest shoe.”
The collaboration between UGG and Teva didn’t really have the reaction they were hoping.
