A child or baby being left alone in a car can be fatal. By the last week of July 2016, 21 children died of heat exposure after being left unattended in a car. The annual average is 37 deaths.

So when a New Hampshire police officer rushed to a car to respond to a call about a baby in a hot car in a Walmart parking lot, he had no idea what would happen next.

Turns out the “baby” is a doll, but it was so lifelike the police officer broke the car window and administered CPR.
