I’ll be the first to admit that I sometimes can’t pass by a mirror without criticizing a visible love handle, something akin to a double chin or wonder whether or not anyone else can see that cellulite that seems to be creeping up beneath my shorts. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t lose any sleep at night over these things, but I would be lying if I told you that it didn’t bother me on some days, too.
Yet, having the “perfect body” is something that society seems hell-bent on obtaining and almost at any cost, too. And that’s why Pope Francis is warning us to quit focusing on the “perfect” with a great message, too.
