After his dad collapsed at home, this teen sprang into action to save him.

It’s a scary thing for any teenager to have to watch happen. When 16-year-old Brendan Gould’s father collapsed in front of him, it was Brendan’s quick thinking, during a time when many people would panic, that saved his father’s life.

Brendan was doing his homework in his room one day when his dad, 56-year-old Tom, came in to tell him he was taking Brendan’s sister Grace to a friend’s house. Brendan thought nothing of it and was going to go back to doing his homework when all of a sudden his dad collapsed.

Two days before he was scheduled to take a CPR course, a teenager discovered just how important that lifesaving skill is when he had to perform it on his own father.

See how this quick thinking teen and his sister saved their father's life.
