Someone Broke Down the Actual Cost of Being a Stay-at-Home Mom

As a stay-at-home parent, there are plenty of days when I feel pretty darn worthless. The days I don’t get dressed, for example, and literally spend a full 12 hours running after small people, cleaning up actual poop, and doing nothing but cooking and cleaning, make me feel pretty insignificant. I mean, there are people right now in the world who are doing great things like working to cure cancer and performing brain surgery and rescuing refugees and I’m here in yoga pants, so exhausted from what? Being home all day?Sigh. The point is, being a stay-at-home mom (or dad) is a lonely, isolating gig and it can feel like a struggle to know if you are actually contributing anything to the world. Which is why videos like this one, that show us our actual worth, can really brighten up any stay-at-home parent’s day.
