Research Indicates That No One (Including Dad) Gets To Sleep Much With A Newborn

Life is stressful. If you’ve ever lost a job, moved across the country, or been imprisoned in Guantanamo *some scenarios more likely than others* then you know how grueling life can be. But nothing – NOTHING – quite matches the going-down-the-rabbit-hole feeling of having a newborn baby. Everyone under the same roof as a newborn is going to suffer sleep deprivation. Do you remember yourself as a new mother, waking over and over again to feed and change a howling, squirming infant – and shuddering at the memory? As it turns out, a 2013 study indicated that first-time fathers actually get less sleep than moms. Cue the eye roll.
