Study On Birth Control for Men Abandoned Because of Side Effects Like ‘Mood Swings’

Sound familiar?

If you’re a woman, chances are you’re the one in your house who has taken responsibility for birth control. I’ve been on the pill off and on since I was in my teens, and even had my tubes tied after my last child was born, thanks to a scheduled c-section. For the most part, the responsibility for birth control has always fallen on my shoulders, as it usually does with most women.

While I enjoyed the lighter periods and diminished cramps I experience as a side effect of taking the pill, I hate the decreased sex drive and weight gain I’ve also endured over the years, switching up my prescriptions until we found just the right one. Women have dealt with a variety of side effects over the years thanks to their form of birth control, but simply accepted it since the desire to control their own body was more important.

Now science has come up with a birth control shot for men that has proven effective, but thanks to negative side effects a study on how effective it really can be has been cut short.

A new study shows that a male birth control shot can be very effective, but it’s negative side effects can be too much.

This could be so great!
