Terminally Ill Woman Holds End-Of-Life “Rebirth” Party Before Ending Her Life

If you knew that your life was ending, how would you spend your last few days on earth? Betsy Davis with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease was faced with this decision, when she decided to become one of the first Californians to take her own life as part of the state’s new doctor-assisted suicide law for the terminally ill.The performance artist, who was diagnosed with the illness in 2013, could no longer “stand, brush her teeth or scratch an itch,” and had to be translated because her speech was so slurred.Instead of planning her own funeral, she decided to turn it around and celebrate her life, throwing a huge party for her friends and family.[ad type="aboveimagead1"]
