She is battling stage 2 breast cancer
For many new moms, breastfeeding is something they look forward to from the moment of conception. Women have this ideal of being able to feed their baby for as long or as little as they choose, and while sometimes things don’t go our way due to a myriad of factors, for many, breastfeeding mothers are able to wean their child when they’re both ready.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for new mom Natasha Fogarty, who was forced to stop breastfeeding her 5 month old son so she could battle stage 2 breast cancer.
One new mom had planned to breastfeed her son for a year, but breast cancer changed that plan.
