There’s A New Push To Completely Eliminate Middle School, But Why?

Because sixth grade sucks, you guys

I’m sure I’m not the first person to admit this, but I absolutely hated (and I mean HATED) my middle school years. Nothing good came out of those three years as I struggled with hormones, major changes in my body, feeling not good enough, pretty enough, left out or simply pressured to look a certain way in order to “fit in.”

The kids were awful, the comments were awful, and quite frankly I would have been better off homeschooled. Luckily, I managed to find a good set of friends in high school that made those years breeze by without any problems, but middle school just sucked.

Nowadays with online bullying, text messaging and 13-year-old girls wearing the entire MAC makeup counter on their faces while carrying $400 Tory Burch bags to class, I’m sure middle school has gotten worse.

That’s why there’s a push to get school districts should think about eliminating middle schools altogether…

And honestly, I think this is a great idea.
