Marty Burbank and his wife Seon Chun-Burbank gave up their dreams of buying a sail boat so they could make the dreams of this kindergarten class come true instead.
There are random acts of kindness, and then there are simply incredible acts of selflessness that it’s hard to possibly comprehend. Marty Burbank and his wife Seon Chun-Burbank have always wanted to buy a sail boat. They told PEOPLE “We met on a boat, got engaged on a boat and got married on a yacht in Newport Beach,” Chun-Burbank says. “Sailing is one of the things Marty really values and it has a lot of personal meaning to him.”
But when Marty Burbank listened to a sermon about sacrifice from his local Pastor just before Christmas, he felt that his desire to buy a sailboat was meaningless, and that he wanted to do more with his money. “At that point, I really felt like buying myself a boat was a very selfish thing.”
Instead of buying the sailboat of their dreams, the Burbanks made a pledge ~ These are true heroes!
