The heroes and the miracle baby

I’m sure everyday you turn on the news and you hear stories of how millions of Syrian refugees are crossing borders by foot in hopes of a better life and future in front of them. Or how they’ve left their families behind or have nowhere to go once they’ve reached their promised land.

But what you don’t hear is how every day Syrian rescue workers risk their lives to save others. Called the “White Helmets,” these wounded Syrian rescue workers are volunteers that have so far saved over 23,000 lives from under the rubble. This story of how they’ve saved a two-week-old baby will not only bring tears to your eyes, but make you truly appreciate this thing we call life, too.
