Whoops, kinda does the opposite...
In our rural high school, there was never quite the budget for one of those infamous “baby simulation” programs, where teens are forced to take care of a fake baby in hopes of scaring them out of actually having sex and getting pregnant, but I’m definitely familiar with them.
Many high schools have different variations of the baby program, from an egg that you have to tenderly care for without so much as cracking it, to some higher-end programs that involve a very sophisticated computerized baby that can cry, get sick, and track its parents’ behavior. Let the baby cry too long and you’re penalized.
The point is, we’ve all heard of these infamous baby programs, but do they actually do any good?
Did you take one of those classes in school where you were taking care of a robot baby to help you see how hard parenting is? You’ll find this funny.
