I’m one of those people who doesn’t think of her high school years with fond memories. In fact, it’s a four-year period that I would like to forget about all together. It’s not because I was endlessly bullied or harassed by my peers (that didn’t happen, although there’s no denying that mean girls are everywhere), but because I so wanted to be different when everyone else was pre-occupied with looking the same.Padma Lakshmi knows the feeling, but for her all she wanted to do was fit in.
