Water Birth Is Gaining Popularity But There’s New Evidence That Says It May Not Be Safe

When I gave birth to my two children, I went the traditional route. Just like any mother, I did my research and quite honestly left my trust in the hands of the medical professionals who have had more experience, education and knowledge than I had with my few books and handful of late night online research sessions. Considering that my babies are my most precious cargo in life, I didn’t want to take any chances or risk something happening to either me or them during my labor and delivery.Yet, plenty of mothers out there like the nix tradition by going alternate routes but there’s a new study that says some, like water births, aren’t necessarily very safe for your baby. Here’s what you need to know.
