When Is It Ever OK To Let Your Child Try A Sip Of Beer Or Wine? Here’s What You Need To Know

Is one sip really that harmful?

My kids are still 8 and 6 and so far they’ve never tried alcohol in their lives. Now, that’s not to say that they are not going to be curious about it in the future, but I know of plenty of parents who allow their children to taste “just a sip” of their wine or beer just for them to spit it all out.

Now, Hollywood actor and celebrity dad David Schwimmer (who I’m sure all of your remember as Ross Gellar from “Friends”) recently went on the record to say that his 5-year-old daughter Cleo has not only tried some of his beer, but also LOVES it, too. And as with anything a celebrity does or says these days, the Internet critics were immediately out, lambasting Schwimmer as a bad father.
