Preserve the alcohol
You basically boil the ingredients together and then pour it over your cute little gummy bear molds and you’re about an hour and a half away from having the best late night snack ever.
Thanks to Jessica’s handy advice though, you need to know you’ll have to have a candy thermometer to ensure your mix stays below 90 degrees to retain the alcohol. Because there’s no sense in making these if you boil off all the wine!
After you’ve filled your molds, you simply refrigerate for 90 minutes and then you have your wine gummy bears!
This is when your hiding skills really get put to the test because you’re going to need to keep these well out of reach of the kids in the house or things could get messy.
Any kind of wine
Jessica is quick to point out you don’t have to use simply rose to make your gummy bears, you can use any kind of wine that you prefer. She even talked about adding in some additional flavored juices with a moscato, that sounds delicious.
I’m not a big wine drinker but I do love champagne, so her idea to create champagne gummies for the holidays is truly magnificent!
