The Four Season’s Biltmore has long been a Hollywood haven for celebrities and their families. You might even spot Jen Garner and daughter Violet soaking up the scenery at this historic Spanish colonial hideaway. But this summer, the iconic property has added something special for guests and groups to experience during their stay. In celebration of the Four Season’s 50 year anniversary, many of the exclusive properties have incorporated programs centered around giving back to the community. That’s right! You, too, can use your own star power to make a difference.
The Four Season’s Biltmore has teamed up with the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County‘s “Backyard Bounty Program“, which harvests under-utilized produce growing in the area. You can spend time picking and packing oranges, avocados, and other seasonal fruit on beautiful sprawling estates and local farms. The produce is then distributed to those in need. In less than an hour, we collected 100 pounds of tangerines to be given to 10 low income families. And now in the 4th year of operations, the organization has collected over a half million pounds of produce that would have otherwise gone to waste. So its a perfect place to getaway and give back!
