If you’re anything like me, you were totally taken by surprise when Gwen Stefani announced her divorce this past summer from Gavin Rossdale, her husband of 13 years After all, the couple share 3 sons together and seemed like they were one of the most solid celebrity couples around.
Gwen recently opened up about the split to her Voice host Carson Daly saying '"My life is so extreme right now. My life basically blew up in my face. And now I’m in this new life, and it’s pretty awesome I have to say — I'm so inspired and being back on the show, and just being in a new place. Everything just feels new. I just feel inspired. I don’t know how else to describe it."
Well now we know that part of that inspiration just might have something to do with Gwen's new flame, her Voice co-coach Blake Shelton! Rumours had been swirling for weeks that the two were dating, and after some grainy paparazzi shots of the two at Adam Levine's Halloween party the two have finally confirmed that they're dating!
Gwen's spokesperson recently confirmed the rumours stating '“Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating.”
Now, if you're a fan of The Voice like I am, you've seen the flirting between the two judges, so this is probably no surprise to you. As to why they felt the need to confirm the rumours especially so early in their relationship, apparently Gwen wanted to attend the CMA after parties with Blake so it was best to confirm the rumours ahead of time.
Blake himself is coming off a divorce this past year from Miranda Lambert, so it's not surprising that the two would gravitate towards each other especially since they have been filming The Voice together.
I don't know about you but I love this new couple, and while I'm sure it's probably just a rebound thing, I hope they last for a long time! Do you think it's too quick for them to publicly start dating after divorce?
