I know that many of you are just as excited by the ‘Full House’ reboot ‘Fuller House’ that is set to hit Netflix in February as I am. The cast, who have mostly reunited for the new version of the show (save for The Olsen Twins as Michelle Tanner) don’t just play a family on TV, but are like a family in real life.

In the upcoming issue of PEOPLE Magazine, series stars John Stamos, Dave Coulier and Bob Saget, as well as show creator Jeff Franklin, discuss how they’ve been friends for decades, since the original show filmed, and that they’ve needed each other throughout the years. Stamos said “It’s been beautiful because we’ve all had ups and downs. We’ve had divorces and deaths and we’ve all been there for each other like a real family.”

The magazine also reveals the heartbreaking news that one of those ‘down’s is that all four men lost their moms within a year of each other. As the premiere date comes closer, Stamos talks about how much he misses his mom saying  “I miss my parents being here,” says Stamos. “It would be fun if they were. My mom loved [the original show].”

When three of the series stars as well as the show creator lost their moms within a year of each other, they decided to do something touching to remember them by.
