Does your little star have the perfect head-shot to grab the next big role? What if you could take amazing pictures of your child in the comfort of your own home and at no cost? Mia Johnstone, of Mia J Photography, shares some insider tips to help parents take professional-like pictures. It’s also a great way to connect with your child in a fun and creative way!

Let’s share some of those less than perfect photos! Super Mommy Not along with Mia J Photography is having a “Worst Photo Ever” Contest. We’ll be giving away a TON of good stuff including: a kid’s haircut, games, passes to an indoor playground, a free photo class ($150 value) on how to better use your DSLR camera and more! It’s so easy. All you need to do is email your worst photo ever (make sure you/your family are identifiable because this is going to be a facebook contest) to [email protected] We’ll update you on info or you can call Mia (818) 304-2065

More Tips from Mia: *Great locations, in L.A., for portraits include Pasadena City Hall (all those white walls create superb bounced light) and Griffith Park’s Ferndell.

*Don’t rule out your own home. Do you have a large window? Diffuse the light with a sheer curtain.  Stand in front of the window and take a photo. Watch the magic happen.  Mia explains: “It’s all pretty simple but takes some practice.”
