New Mom Hayden Panettiere Is Seeking Professional Treatment For Her Post-Partum Depression

Ugh! This is so sad, but at the same time I’m sure there are a lot of moms that can relate to this. Hollywood actress Hayden Panettiere is seeking treatment for her postpartum depression, according to reports. The first-time mom welcomed her daughter back in December with her husband Wladimir Klitschko.

Her rep released a statement that said, ““Hayden Panettiere is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression. She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time.”

Hayden hasn’t been shy in revealing her struggle, as she most recently opened up about the problems she’s endured.

"I can very much relate. It's something a lot of women experience. When [you’re told] about postpartum depression you think it’s ‘I feel negative feelings towards my child, I want to injure or hurt my child.' I’ve never, ever had those feelings," she said during an appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael last month. "Some women do. But you don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal."

And in what I’m hoping isn’t a case of life imitating art, Hayden’s character Juliette Barnes on the hit ABC show Nashville is also suffering from post-partum depression.

Here is a great article:  The 6 Stages of Postpartum Depression  please share this with anyone you may know who might need it!

Sending lots and lots of love to Hayden!
