I’ve never gotten a flu shot in my life because a) I freak out whenever I see a needle and b) I don’t get sick very often and live in a part of our country where not many people actually get sick with the flu. But it’s hard to say what I would do if my state made flu vaccinations mandatory. I wouldn’t want to put myself in a position in which I would find myself breaking the law, but…. those needles really do scare the living daylight out of me.

According to the New York Post though, there is a group of give mothers from Manhattan and Brooklyn who are suing their city over its mandatory flu-vaccination policy. The parents claim a 2013 rule passed by the city’s Health Department under Bloomberg is illegal because it was not voted on by state lawmakers.

The site says that the suit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court Monday by moms Clemence Rasigni, Magdalena Garcia, Lynn Rosenger, Michelle Carroll and Gabrielle Jakob, notes that the city’s infamous soda ban was stuck down because it was an administration rule and not a law.

Tell us Hot Moms, what do you think about flu vaccinations? Do you get them every year? Do you think it’s right to force everyone to get vaccinated, even if it’s not their choice to do so? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
