Whenever someone tells me that I have well-behaved kids, I tend to not believe it. I mean, I know how my little rascals act at home and the kind of meltdowns they can throw behind the scenes. It’s not always pretty. Luckily they’ve never embarrassed me in public. I don’t know how or why, but they know better than to act spoiled, demanding or entitled when other people are around. I mean, it’s not like they always act this way, but they sure know how to press my buttons when no one is looking.
With all of that being said, at the end of the day they are still good kids. They are my kids. They are polite, have good manners and don’t argue with me when it’s time to go to bed or wake up in the morning for school. But if you want to raise truly good kids, psychologists say that you should do these five things. It might not be easy, but it’s worth a try.
