If my son could define Happiness in 3 words it would be Great Wolfe Lodge. We had an absolute blast during our stay and my son is already planning when we can go back. If you are looking for a fun weekend vacation I highly recommend the Great Wolfe Lodge. They have locations all around the country and their large indoor water park makes it perfect to visit all year round. The waterpark was designed for kids of all ages, with a section for little ones, (kiddie slides, cub club, and story time) and water slides big enough to scare your teenager. My son spend 6 hours straight going on all of the many waterslides, tubing in the lazy river, the lily pad obstacle course and squirt tower, and he easily could have lasted another 6 more… In the name of research my son made me go on all of the waterslides with him, even the new Double Barrel Drop. I have to point out that the facility was well run, clean, the staff was courteous and cheerful. To make it the ultimate kid haven, they also have an arcade, a spa for little girls (and adults too), glitter tattoos and I can’t forget MagiQuest, after purchasing and customizing your wand, kids are off to complete their quest, and solve magical challenges using their high tech wand to activate paintings, treasure chest and other items scattered throughout the lodge. The rooms were spacious, ours had a cub den with an enclosed bunk bed and television. *Although the PA location I stayed at had a Starbucks, the food was typical of a theme park, I would have loved to have more healthy options. But the rooms do have a refrigerator and a microwave so if you can bring supplies for the baby and food for yourself if you’re like me and crave healthy choices.
