Are Push Presents Stupid? Love It Or Hate It?

I know a lot of you have very strong opinions on this, and I can’t wait to hear them all! The ‘Push Present’ trend, or the act of a husband or partner gifting a woman with a special gift after she gives birth to a baby has certainly become more common these days. It’s also become more extravagant. People tend to have very specific feelings about push presents and whether they like them or not. Personally, I’m all for push presents! My oldest is 13 and my youngest is almost 8 so I feel like push presents weren’t as crazy though when I was having my kids as they are now.

For some women, a beautiful new baby in their arms is only the thing they need!

But,  Push presents have been around for years and it seems like celebs enjoy doing them bigger, shinier and more expensive than most of us.

A $10,000 Hermès Birkin bag is what Jay Cutler gave to Kristin Cavallari for baby Camden.

Beyoncé was spotted with an extra-large blue Tanzanite ring on her finger after giving birth to Blue Ivy. The ring was believed to be a push present linked to the baby’s pretty name!

Eric Johnson showered Jessica Simpson with gifts when baby Maxwell arrived. The dad-to-be reportedly bought “a collection of platinum bracelets, a matching necklace with a ‘huge amethyst,’ and a band that will be engraved with their baby’s birth date” from a jeweler in Capri.
